Montgomery Area Transit System (MATS) hereby announces its public hearing to review and receive comments on the following service proposals:

(1)

Reduction of Weekday Service from 9:30pm to 7:30pm.

(2)

Reduction of Saturday Service from 7:30pm to 5:30pm.

(3)

Route 2 time extension and re-routing in Eastdale Mall. Service is presently 60 minutes, proposed increase to 90 minutes.

(4)

Increase in all fare levels.

Notice is hereby given that two (2) public hearings have been scheduled to answer questions and receive comments on the proposed modifications to the public transit system:

Unless amended or revoked through this public hearing process or another operation of law, the proposed changes will take effect as soon as operationally possible. Written and oral comments will be accepted at both of the scheduled hearings, and all comments received before 5:00 p.m. on November 23, 2011 will be made part of the public record for this event.
